Getting your domain name

The first thing that needs to be done is registering your domain name, this will be your business name then ending with .co.uk or .com or .net your choice. I recommend using Hostgator for this, as this is where your going to host your website.

I have been using them for many years and they have great customer support.

Getting your hosting

Now that you have bought your domain name and hosting. The hosting i recommend is hostgator, in the last five years I’ve been making websites they have never let me down.

Because your more thank likely going to only have one website your should sign up for the Hatchling Plan. Just choose the length of the plan you want to get started.

Installing wordpress

Now you have signed up for hosting, its time to instal WordPress onto the domain. This is easy as it’s only a few clicks and WordPress will be installed.

Once you have signed in to your Hostgator account you will be taken to the following screen.

Now click hosting on the left hand side, then click MANAGE. Then you will be taken to the following page.

Click on Install wordpress, you will be taken to this is page.

Now select your cleaning business domain name, and click next. Now you will have to enter the blog title, username, first and last name, then your email address.

Fill in the the information that you wish to add. Once completed you should save your password and username.

It can take a few hours for your instal to complete, so please be patient. To check if you website is live just type in yoursite/wp-admin (replace “yoursite” with your domain name).

Why should you get a website for your cleaning business?

A place where potential customers can learn about your business

A website can act as a place where potential customers and current customers get to learn more about your business. It includes all the relevant information about all the products and services that you offer.

Also, if you introduce new products, customers will be updated through your website.

  • Increases visibility

This is one of the biggest reasons as to why every cleaning business needs a website. It doesn’t matter if your company is popular or not, people will still want to find out more about the company before proceeding to visitor purchase.

  • To inform and engage your target audience

A website helps to display information about your products and services. Therefore, posting product descriptions and blog posts will help new and prospective clients find all the content they need about your products and services.

This helps your customers to be informed and engaged.

  • Helps to convert potential customers to real customers

Not only does your website act as a place for informing and engaging customers, but it also acts as a place of converting potential customers into clients.

For instance, if you’re using email marketing as a form of marketing, then you should find a way of sending your clients to your website to convert them.

  • Low-cost advertising

A website is a perfect place to market and advertise your products and services. The best part is that you don’t need to spend a lot to make this happen as it costs nothing to-do-so.

Why you should make a cleaning business website yourself rather than paying someone to make it.

This is a very common question among people trying to build a website for their business. However, the decision is difficult and it depends on the person.

The good news is that there are lots of DIY sites that can help you to create a successful cleaning business website, these include WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, Leadpages, Bubble, and much more.

Creating your own cleaning business website is very important in so many ways. First of all, you will be able to save as paying a web designer is very costly. This money can be directed to other business projects.

Secondly, creating a cleaning business website is very easy as there are many drag and drop website builders on the market. You will only have to select a theme and get started.

Besides, you will be able to create the website with your own ideas and not on someone else’s. Also, you will be able to change the website quickly and easily instead of relying on someone to do it for you.

What having a business website will do for your cleaning business?

  • Improve productivity

A website increases your business’s productivity as less time is spent explaining the products and services that you offer. This is because customers have all the information that they need to know about the business 24/7.

  • Easy access to new clients

Finding new customers is easy and they can access your business with much ease if you have an online presence. Your customer can refer you to a friend, relative or colleague by sharing your URL or web address.

  • Enhance your advertising effectiveness

With a website, you can promote your business for all of your promotional material. As a result, this will help you receive more exposure and encourage visitors to click and check your site for the information that they are looking for.

  • Promote and sell products and services you offer

You will be able to promote all of your products and services by describing them in detail so that your customers do not doubt them. Additionally, you will be able to show why your products or services are better than those of your competitors.

Last but not least, you will tell or describe to potential clients how your products/services will help them. In short, you will educate them about your products.

  • Improve customer service

One of the greatest advantages of creating a cleaning business website is that it will improve customer support as you can listen to customer queries and come up with answers and solutions.  Also, the Q&A section can help customers find solutions to most of their questions.
